Homemade French Baguettes
Ingredients
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast
Instructions
- Mix ingredients and rest 15 minutes.
- Perform three stretch-and-fold sets over 1½ hours.
- Refrigerate overnight (12–14 hours).
- Divide dough into three pieces and shape.
- Roll to approximately 14–15 inches.
- Proof 30–60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 500°F with steam pan.
- Bake at 425°F for about 23 minutes until golden brown.
